Description

Gorgeous private estate with upgraded interiors, a pool deck and a prime location atop a bluff in the luxurious Kauna'oa community. Built with open space and privacy in mind, Hale Malu is a sprawling tropical property that offers grassy lawns, gardens and a large pool deck with gorgeous views of Mauna Loa and Hualalai volcanoes. Located in a secluded enclave only a short distance from the Westin Hapuna Beach Hotel, this large estate is perfect for families and groups seeking luxurious accommodations and privacy within close proximity to the island's best beaches and amenities.

The main home, accented with beautiful hardwoods and high vaulted ceilings, has a large living room, media room and chef's kitchen that connects to the pool deck via large glass sliding doors. The glass doors can be opened to create an indoor-outdoor vacation ambiance - complete with a floating hot tub, built-in BBQ and an expansive tanning deck. On either side of the central living room are four bedrooms, each with a king size bed, en-suite bathroom, walk-in closet and private patio access. The primary bedroom overlooks the bluff and has a large bathroom with a shower and a soaking tub, as well as an outdoor shower.

Across the lawn from the main house is the ohana house, which offers a spacious bedroom with a private patio that has ocean views. The ohana house also offers a large bathroom with a long vanity counter and a walk-in shower.

For guests who chose Mauna Kea Resort access, the resort offers two gorgeous hotels, the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and the Westin Hapuna Beach Resort, which guests can access like a hotel guest. Fantastic amenities, fitness centers, restaurants, cafes, beaches and activities are located within a short distance of Hale Malu.

Guests of Hale Malu may purchase resort access to use the Mauna Kea Resort Club facilities during your stay for $240/day in 2024 (2025 rates have yet TBD & are subject to change) + tax, per RESERVATION (not per person). Purchase of this membership includes the following privileges at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and the Westin Hapuna Beach Hotel facilities: Charging privileges at both hotels for dining and activities, access to hotel beaches and pools, use of towels, lounge chairs, umbrellas, reduced golf rates, tennis (court fees apply), use of two fitness centers (yoga and group classes available for a fee), and an access card for preferred parking at the hotel.

Starting April 2024, the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel will be undergoing a major renovation. The hotel is not planned to be closed entirely - instead the renovation will occur in sections which may, at times, cause interruptions to golf, tennis and hotel services. Please contact the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel- (808) 882-7222 - for more specific information about access during your travel dates. The renovation will be ongoing from April 2024 until the summer of 2025. The Westin Hapuna Hotel will *not* be impacted by the renovation and will be open as normal.
