★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolute Perfection
A group of us (3 couples) just got back from an exemplary weeklong stay at Puako Bay Hideaway. I'm usually too time-pressed to write a review, but I feel compelled to share our experience with other discerning travelers, whom like us, spend an enormous time searching for the perfect vacation home. We've all had experiences where we were seduced, yet deceived, by perfectly staged professional photos. This wasn't the case for Puako Bay Hideaway. In fact, we can honestly say the photos don't do the property justice. What we loved most about this home is how it beautifully captures the spirit of Hawaii around the lanai, the central gathering place that looks out to the most magnificent and breathtaking view of the sea. With a group of our size, there were plenty of places to enjoy together or alone if downtime was needed to work or just chill. Two out of four bedroom have gorgeous sea views but all four have their own unique character and Hawaiian vibe with modern conveniences like superb linens and bedding with extremely comfortable beds. Two of the bedrooms have gorgeous outdoor showers. Even for insomniacs like me, you will get the most comfortable sleep here and wake up blissfully happy and refreshed to the sound of the waves and tropical birds. The kitchen! It really does have everything. We were lucky to have a chef in our group who was able to whip up even the most complicated meals using the state of the art smart ovens and outdoor grill. ~Joe L.
