Welcome to "Hale Malu which translates in Hawaiian as House of Peace, a rare Kamaaina owned 'dual' home and rental at the upscale Ka Milo at Mauna Lani Resort. If you're seeking a unique and tranquil escape in the heart of paradise, our fully upgraded 3-bedroom cottage is where you want to stay. Hale Malu is more than just a vacation rental, it's a true home away from home, where guests find themselves yearning to return. As you enter "Hale Malu," you'll immediately sense the authentic peace. Its decor seamlessly blends traditional Hawaiian elements and high-end furnishings. The artwork tells a captivating story of the Hawaiian islands and their rich culture, providing a unique and immersive experience for our guests.

"Hale Malu" is a single-story cottage, ensuring easy accessibility and shares no walls with neighbors, guaranteeing you the privacy and serenity you crave. The cottage's layout is thoughtfully designed, with the primary suite occupying the right side of the property, while the other two suites are conveniently located on the left - each bedroom with its own en-suite full bathroom. The chef's kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare and savor the Big Island's unique ingredients. Our living room is intentionally TV-free, designed to encourage gatherings and meaningful conversations. Each of the three suites comes equipped with their own TVs, and two of them even offer dedicated workspaces for those guests who need to balance business with pleasure.

The cottage has two private backyard garden lanais. The main lanai has a dining table for outdoor meals, a comfortable sitting area, and a propane BBQ. The private primary suite lanai offers a cozy sitting area where you can start your day with a cup of coffee or end it with your favorite beverage. The incredible 2-acre Recreational Center is only steps away and includes: - Quiet area for those seeking solitude - lap pool for those looking to stay active - Ohana pool - large lagoon-style family pool for fun-filled days - kids pool for the little ones - two soothing hot tubs for complete relaxation - large lawn area - exercise room

  • The Mauna Lani Auberge Sports Club and Tennis Garden is a fully-equipped fitness center that includes a lap pool, large gym, steam rooms, locker rooms, five tennis courts (including three lighted courts) and four pickleball courts. The Sports Club and Tennis Garden is available for a fee or is complimentary for all guests who are staying in a property that has purchased the Auberge Membership.  Additional classes — such as beach yoga may also be available for an additional fee.  Please inquire directly with the Sports Club and Tennis Garden for rates, tennis & pickleball court and class availability. 
  • The Mauna Lani Golf Club: The Francis I'i Brown North & South Courses are among the world's best resort courses with 36 holes of spectacular oceanfront golf. Designed by Ray Cain, Rodney Wright, and Robin Nelson.  Please inquire directly with Mauna Lani Golf Course for green fees & course availability.
