They had everything we needed including kitchen supplies, snorkels, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, and even gave us some chocolates and snacks! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were in South Kohala in July 2024 with three adults and four children between the ages of 2 and 15. The apartment is well maintained and well equipped. The kitchen is great and there is everything for a nice day on the beach. Just 20 minutes from the airport, it offers a great base for exploring the beauties of Big Island. Beautiful beaches in the immediate vicinity, shopping 5 minutes away, shopping and adventure tours in Kona and close to Saddle Road make South Kohala the ideal base for a relaxing beach vacation and day trips across the fantastic island of Hawaii. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We absolutely LOVED our stay, one of my favorite Airbnb’s so far. It was close to restaurants, shopping and beaches. They had everything we needed and more including 2 beautiful pools, a hot tub, gym and beach toys, snorkels, and beach chairs. They also had a few different types of coolers so we could bring snacks with us. The home is spacious and every bedroom has their own smart tv. The host and villa front desk were very responsive. We had one small issue with one of the toilets and they were there within an hour to fix the issue. 10/10 recommend! We were also able to get a late check out since our flight home wasn’t until 10pm. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place - we have stayed on the Big Island 6 times and this is our favourite Airbnb to date. It is spacious, clean, and the furnishings were very well maintained and comfortable. Both pools were lovely and clean. Close to some amazing beaches and shopping areas. Airbnb also provided snorkel equipment, beach chairs and umbrellas. Quiet and peaceful. The Colony Villas are a nice quiet community to stay in that is close to everything in the village. The home was nicely equipped with plenty of towels. Nice quit patio and close to one of the pools. Would stay again! ~Kimberly T. (October 2023)
