★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a perfect place to stay for our family of four. We paid for the resort access, and it was really nice to be able to use the pools and the amenities at both beaches. But staying in the condo instead of in hotel rooms made everything easy. It was nice to be able to have breakfast without having to leave the house. The whole place is well set up. Both bedrooms are nice, and separated enough from the kitchen that noise wasn't a problem. The kitchen is well equipped, so it was easy to do a little bit of food prep. The patio is really great, with lovely views of the sunset each night. The patio was also beautiful at night after it cooled down, and had nice views of the stars. The beach (either Hapuna beach or the Mauna Kea) is just a 2 minute drive down the hill. We had a lot of fun snorkeling off Mauna Kea in the mornings and boogie boarding at Hapuna beach in the afternoons. I would be more than happy to stay here again! ~Dan K. (August 2024)

There were five adults in our group and we stayed for eight days. We enjoyed the amenities of both the Westin and Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. The two bedroom condo served us well and this was our second stay at this specific property. ~Jose L. (June 2024)
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mauna Kea Stay at Kumulani
This is our 4th visit to this condo. Needless to say we love everything about it. We watch the various birds come onto the lawn in the morning as we enjoy breakfast on the patio. We love the access to Mauna Kea amenities - the beach is our favorite hangout. The check-in process is quick and seamless. South Kohala Management team makes everything so easy - they are so responsive. We love this place and will stay again in the near future. ~Elizabeth C. (February 2024)

We are a family of 3 and had plenty of space to stretch out. We loved the beautiful sunset skies each night. We also loved the access to hapuna and Mauna Kea beaches and the facilities at the resorts. There was also a rec Center with a pool close to the condo but we never used it, but it was nice to have just in case. The condo was well equipped with pool towels and everything else you’d need to make dinner etc. Check in was easy and the management company helpful and organized. I’d stay there again!! ~Carol V. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful, peaceful place to stay.
Short drive down to the resort beaches and amenities. We loved the extra addition of the resort access like the other guests have mentioned. We spent the morning and afternoon at the beach/resort and the late afternoon exploring Waimea and Hawi area. We felt the Westin had the best amenities and was more upscale, however Mauna Kea had a quieter, relaxed feel and we enjoyed both beaches (Hapuna had larger waves this time of year, but they were fun to float over!). We felt so privileged to enjoy the beach loungers and head back to the adult only pool for afternoon drinks. South Kohala is a great place to retreat after long adventure days and so nice to have your own washer/dryer and full kitchen. It’s a short drive to Foodland but you can also have groceries delivered if needed. Open concept dining area was perfect to enjoy dinner at the dining table and watch a movie. The bed was soft and comfortable and the bathroom was great and spacious. Emily Y. (November 2023)

We had such a great stay! The condo was spacious and tidy. It had everything you could need. The neighborhood pool was great to have so close. Neighborhood is beautiful and very quiet. Highly recommend utilizing purchasing the day passes at the Hapuna/Mauna Kea resorts. Not many restaurants super close by, so be prepared to rent a car and drive a lot. ~Abby S. (November 2022)
